Default Need some help with video convertion programs

    hey guys and gals,

So heres the deal, i have been wanting to convert bluray disks into an avi file or some such mp4 or something. i have tried avgo media recorder, which records when you play the bluray, unfortunately when i try to play the disk the media player which is power dvd 9 doesn't work, but will work when the media recorder is closed. i have tried quite a few other players like home theater and a few others, but it won't work with those either. i have tried some other random converters but none of them work with bluray. so im sure there are folk on here that "backup" their bluray's to avi and i am curious if anyone has been able to successfully do this under the windows7 platform. any help would be awesome. thanks all.

i use corel video studio 12 and love it. does everything i need include convert easily even to mobile platform all pre built into the program and you can edit the video as well at the same time. i have been using the app for about 6 months now and i feel it is the best straight to the point and easy to use application out there on the market today. not as fancy as vegas but does the same stuff with less of the finding of the correct tool to get the job done.
