i tumbled to something that is really annoying... i installed a program on my phone and it required me to soft reset my device, so that's what i did... i put a simple pin password on my phone because people around me are nosy... but anyways... my phone boots up and i entered my password and it says its incorrect... is there a way to reset the password without doing a hard reset on my TP?? if there is pls show me the way i have information in my text messages that i didn't save... if there's no other way... can somebody teach me how to hard reset my phone manually thank you... :sigh:

you will need to hard reset if it will not work... make sure that the caps lock is off on the onscreen keyboard as well as the slideout on the device.... to hard reset the touch pro you have to First turn the phone off by holding the power button on the top of the TP for a few seconds.
Next hold down the Vol Down button, the center of the Dpad and the power button (on the top of the TP) for a few seconds.
Follow the on-screen prompts.

i was thinking... it only did this when i installed the program... is there a way i can uninstall the program by using a pc or something??

no you would need the password entered to allow it to connect via activesync or mobile device center..... you checked to make sure bout the caps correct? nad what program did you install?

mmm not sure if that would do it but may... and have you looked into throttle lock so they cant get by and not using the password? very helpful in your type of case.

no... i was using the default lock like the ones that come with the ROM... but yeah... no need to sweat it i can always get those info again... but thanks a lot though at least another lesson has taught hahaha... thanks again dude...
