Updated 2 6.5?

Hi All. I got a Touch Pro when they first came out, turned around and did the same with the Touch Pro2 and for an old guy like me the larger screen is much more eye and finger friendly. I have Sprint as my carrier and am anxious to make the jump to 6.5. Have some concerns about some of these unofficial ROM updates, the biggest being able to update the ROM with the official release when it is available. Any of you guru's ever had a problem with something like that? I know they will trash the sprint apps, but I'm an old engineer that mainly uses my phone as a phone, checking email, connecting to and working on my servers when I'm on the road. What I don't want is phone that I cannot update with an official ROM update when available.

I've never had problems flashing back to an official; ROM. Even if they have the ROM locked so it can only update from an official old ROM to the new one, I can flash back to the stock ROM in the first place and then flash to the new stock ROM to give it a whirl (if they ever get around to it)

ive flashed a few times awhile ago in the mogul era.. its ok but im all about officials
